Leadership and Self-Development Trainer
University of Djibouti
Dates of Involvement (e.g., Jan 2020 – Present)
I have led and facilitated a series of leadership and self-development training programs for a wide range of stakeholders at the University of Djibouti, including lecturers, students, and administrative staff. These programs were designed to enhance both personal and professional competencies, critical for effective performance in academic and administrative settings
The training content focused on key soft skills, such as emotional intelligence, communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, time management, goal setting, and critical thinking, alongside core leadership principles. Through interactive workshops, coaching sessions, and follow-up assessments, participants were empowered to take initiative, manage responsibilities more effectively, and contribute meaningfully to the university’s mission
In alignment with Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) best practices, I also developed tools to assess training needs, track learning outcomes, and evaluate program impact using feedback surveys and performance indicators. These experiences have strengthened my ability to manage knowledge-sharing processes, support continuous improvement, and measure the effectiveness of capacity-building initiatives—essential functions within M&E and Knowledge Management roles at IGAD
